Whats it gonna be? My way or the intranet highway?

When it comes time for you to actually enter the business world, what is your new employer going to expect of you?
Hopefully, for generation Y's sake, they will have applied abbreviated text talking to the operations of the organization. This may happen! Generation Y's are the bosses of the future! The efficiency of abbreviated texting is beyond anything else. It just takes time to understand it, that is, if you don't know how to write it. Some bosses are looking at this type of communicating as a way that their employees can express themselves efficiently and effectively for the company. The only down side to this is, when doing business dealings, face-to-face communication is still the best way to go. If a person could effectively apply both ways of communicating, then the sky would be the limit as to how one could apply themselves in a company. So don't lose what you already have, just improve on it. Hopefully, the company you guys end up working for has an upbeat culture.

  1. Personally being able to work with abbreviated text has helped me at my workplace. I work at a call centre so after each call, I have to be able to enter notes quickly in order to take more calls. Luckily my workplace allows us to use abbreviated forms when entering notes to get the job done faster. Though I do admit there are times when the personalized forms can get a bit confusing, and even altering meanings of a sentence.
